1. PERSONAL DETAILS:

2. ASSESSMENT:
PW was wounded on his left thigh by s/a fire and was treated. PW was a farmer prior to entering the CNA in Jan 47. PW was cooperative and of average intelligence, however, due to PW's physical condition, evaluation of information obtained should be assessed accordingly. Not recommended for further interrogation.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
a. Chronology.
PW was inducted into the CNA at CHOUCHIASHAN (周家山) Jan 47. After serving for approx 3 yrs, PW was captured by the CCF at HONAN (何南) in Apr 50, and integrated into the 41st Army, 150th Div. 41st Army crossed the YALU River by train via ANTUNG (XE1842) 1 Oct 50. Since crossing the river, route of travel taken by the 41st Army u/k to PW. 11 Jan 51, PW and 19 others were sent on a recon patrol and 17 Jan 51, 7 were killed and PW was wounded and captured when encountered by elements of the 3rd Div.

b. Unit Organization and Strength.
41st Army consisted of the 148th, 149th, and 150th Divs. 150th Div consisted of 3 Regts (designations u/k), Engr Co, and Sig Co. Each Regt consisted of 3 Bns and each Bn consisted of 3 Rifle Cos, Mortar Co and HMG Co.

c. Equipment.
HMG Co had 3 HMGs. Mortar Co had 6x60mm mortars and u/k number of 82mm mortars. Each Rifle Sqd had 1 LMG. The troops were armed with Japanese and Chinese rifles, US BARs, and carbines.
All above weapons were brought from CHINA when unit entered KOREA.

d. Unit Assignment and Intention.
PW did not know the mission of the recon patrol which he was sent on prior to his capture. The ultimate objective of the 41st Army is PUSAN and that they are to push the UN forces out of KOREA.

e. Disposition.
PW stated the 41st Army Hq was located approx 40 km South of SEOUL (details u/k). Also stated that the 41st Army was holding the front lines and that the 38th, 39th, and 40th Armies were located in the rear (North) of the 41st Army (exact locations u/k).

f. Communication.
PW stated that telegraphs were used to maintain communication between Div Hqs and higher units. Communications between the Regts and Bns were done by telephones.

h. Armor and Artillery.
No tanks or arty pieces observed since crossing the Manchurian border.

i. Morale and Propaganda.
Approx 50% of the men of his unit had low morales because they felt they were fighting for KOREA instead of their own country. PW had not observed any UN propaganda leaflets since entering KOREA.

4. GENERAL:
Since entering KOREA, PW's unit received additional supply of food only once during the latter part of Oct 50. Since then food was procured locally. The men were fed once or twice a day. Prior to crossing the Manchurian border, each man was issued 100 rds of s/a ammo. No additional ammo was received since then.

5. SPECIAL EEI:
a. Use of Narcotics by CCF Troops.
PW had no knowledge regarding the use of narcotics or drugs by CCF troops prior to or since entering KOREA.
