Personnel from the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 7th Divs were incorporated into the 43rd Div during organization in October 50. Total number of troops unknown.

4. LOCATION AND ACTIVITIES OF UNITS: (as of 11 Jan 50):
The mission of the V Corps was to harass supply lines of the UN forces and engage in guerrilla warfare.
V Corps Hq, 43rd Div Hq, 31st Div Hq and 27th Div Hq, were located at WONJU.
67th Regt Hq was located at a point 6 Km South of WONJU.
The 43rd Div met a CCF Unit of unknown strength with an unknown number of artillery pieces at SUAN Dec 50. They travelled together to HWACH’ON. That was the last time PW saw this CCF unit. The CCF unit number, strength, type of equipment and mission were unknown to PW because they travelled together during the night, but during the daytime they took separate cover.

Inducted into the NKA 2nd Div, Training Bn, Mortar Co 1 Mar 50 at HAMHUNG.
Received 2 months of mortar training at HAMHUNG.

7. FOOD AND AMMO SUPPLIES:
Only one issue of ammo was received at SAMDUNG, Nov 50. This ammo was hidden in a tunnel, location unknown. PW stated that the Americans overlooked this ammo when they over ran North Korea.
Food was gathered from whatever village they entered by signing a promissory note for payment.

8. SIGNAL COMMUNICATION:
Communication between Corps, Div, Regt, Bn and Co was by telephone. No wireless.

9. MORALE:
The morale of PW’s unit was very high because of the Chinese intervention.

10. US PW’s:
PW saw 3 American PW’s at the outskirts of WONJU 8 Jan 51. No other information.

11. PSYCHOLOGICAL WARFARE:
