There were 3 sqds per plat with 6 men each. There were 3 sub sqds per sqd with 2 men each. (NOTE: PW is very unsure of himself and very confused about the above statements.)

4. MAJOR CAMPAIGNS:
PW fought only in battle for CHANGCHUN.

5. UNIT COMPLEMENT TRANSFERRED TO KOREA:
Entire 11th Div came to KOREA.

6. RECRUITING PROGRAM:
CCF sent recruiting agent to PW’s village. He told the young men they would get food and clothes in the army and if they refused to volunteer their families would not get rice or clothing.

7. SOVIET ADVISORS:
PW heard of no Soviet Advisors with the CCF.

8. CAPTURED NATIONALIST TROOPS:
Nationalist soldiers were practically all incorporated into the CCF.

9. PROPAGANDA:
PW says his indoctrination was as follows:
a. Take money from rich and divide it among the poor.
b. Men and women should have equal rights but in capitalistic society women are bought and sold. Communism opposes this and should be enforced throughout the world. In the capitalistic country, the soldiers rape women, but the communist soldiers never do.
c. In capitalistic countries the soldiers are forced into the army, but the communists never do that, all are volunteers.
d. Capitalistic society has reached its highest point and is not on the down grade.
e. In capitalistic society the rich exploit the poor and beat them until they obey them, but in communistic society persuasion is used instead of force.
f. AMERICA controls the world by the dollar. For example in KOREA, AMERICA takes out the gold and iron produced in KOREA and brings in things such as sugar and corn which are unnecessary.
g. Americans kill the Koreans and cut out their hearts, cut off their noses, bind their necks on the RR tracks for the train to run over.
h. In communistic society there are no poor for the gov’t will divide all property equally among all.
i. Every war every time the communist armies have fought against capitalistic countries they have won, and they will win in the future also. American soldiers are forced to fight, so they will run away from the battle, while communist soldiers who are volunteers will fight till death.
j. In communist countries men and women can marry whomever they wish and can divorce if they do not like each other, but in capitalistic countries it is not so. They are forced to live together, so the men often beat the women because they do not like them. That is against the communist doctrine of equality of men and women.
k. In AMERICA, 80% of the money earned by a factory goes to the capitalist and only 20% goes to the workers. That is why there is so many strikes and so many unemployed. In communist countries the gov’t will give all men work and they will get all the profits of the factories to divide among themselves.
l. In AMERICA the poor people cannot go to school because they have no money to buy books and clothes, but in RUSSIA all children no matter how poor, can go to school and get an education.

10. ATTITUDE OF CIVILIAN POPULATION:
At first the people in MANCHURIA liked the CCF, but when CCF did not keep their promises, they turned against them. PW says the people did not welcome him.
