3. T/O & E AND STRENGTHS:
While at TAEDOK-MYON, on 9 Nov 50, PW heard rumors that there were eight (8) Corps in the NK Army.
The PW claims that of these eight (8) NKA Corps, two (the II and V Corps) are definitely in combat in SOUTH KOREA. It is believed that three or four of the six remaining Corps are undergoing training somewhere in MANCHURIA; the other two Corps are believed to be in HAMGYONG PUKTO (northeast KOREA, in the NANAM area). These two or so Corps in the NANAM area are believed to be so situated so that they could easily be committed should the need arise. All these units are still believed to be undergoing training, as of 2 Jan 51.
PW states that the former NK 7th Div no longer exists. It was deactivated during Oct 50 or Nov 50 at HWANG HAE-DO HU PYONG (황해도 후평). The PW was emphatic in stating that no elements of the 7th Div were integrated into the 12th Div; it was believed that the 7th Div was absorbed into the 6th Div.
Ever since the reorganization of NKA units during October and November 50, there have never been any brigades in the V Corps.

The total number from these three sources was approx 1,500 men. This reorganization was because it was felt that only one complete unit could be formed from the remnants of the 25th Brigade, 9th Div and the 101st Regt. The 3 units have been deactivated and no longer exist. This produced the 12th Div with approximately 7,000 men, 6 Nov 50.
PW was placed into the 12th Div, 3rd Inf Regt, 2nd Bn, 4th Co, as Company Co.
