As a whole, PW answered promptly. Reliability, fair.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
a. Chronology:
8 Sep 50: Graduated from OCS, P’YONGYANG, commissioned Jr Lt.
26 Sep 50: Arrived NANAM (羅南) assigned to 41st Div, 1st Regt, 3rd Bn.
16 Oct 50: 1st Regt moved to CH’ONGJIN (淸津). Received orders to guard the coast.
18 Nov 50: 1st Regt advanced to CHUULONJANG (朱乙溫場). Received orders for combat with UN Forces.
19 Nov 50: PW’s HMG Plat, and an infantry plat, and a mortar plat, were sent out on reconnaissance to a village located approx 12 km SE of CHUULONJANG. Reconnaissance was not accomplished due to heavy offensive of the ROK Army.
22 Nov 50: Plat disorganized after meeting the ROK Army.
24 Nov 50: Captured by ROK Army.

c. Unit History:
41st Div was reorganized on 24 Oct 50. Hq was located in CH’ONGJIN (淸津). The main mission of this Div was to guard the coast between NANAM (羅南) and CH’ONGJIN (淸津). It was also to defend HAMGYONG PUKTO (咸鏡北道). On 10 Nov 50 the 41st Div was defeated and retreated to an unknown destination.

g. Disposition:
When last observed 1st Regt was located in CHUULONJANG (朱乙溫場) while 2nd Regt and 41st Div Hq Units were located in CH’ONGJIN (淸津).

h. Intentions:
41st Div was to guard the coast between CHUULONJANG (朱乙溫場) and CH’ONGJIN (淸津) and also receive orders to fight in CHUULONJANG (朱乙溫場) if there is an attack.

i. Morale:
Morale was low because a majority of the men were over 30 years old, had no intentions of fighting and discipline was poor. The leaders were chiefly young trained men and it was hard for the older men to follow their orders.

j. No replacements since unit’s organization.

k. Supply:
Each man carried 70 rds and one hand grenade. PW’s unit was in a stable position and no rations were carried by troops.
