PW was not very intelligent and was uncooperative. Information considered fairly reliable.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
Chronology:
Apr 47: Inducted into CNA at MUKDEN and attached to an unknown unit there as mess helper.
Aug 48: PW captured by CCF when MUKDEN fell.
Dec 48: Siege of TIENTSIN. 348 Regt also participated in liberating central and south CHINA.
Jul 50: Unit engaged in farming in YU HSIEN (禹縣) of HONAN-SHENG.
11 Aug 50: Unit arrived HAICHENG, (海城) MUKDEN-SHENG and undertook battle training.
Oct 50: 348th Regt crossed YALU River into SINUIJU at night. Marched to vicinity of UNSAN.
24 Dec 50: Captured.

39th Army - 115th Div, 116th Div and 117th Div.
116th Div - 346th Regt, 347th Regt, and 348th Regt, (hearsay - Arty Bn).
348th Regt - 1st Bn, 2nd Bn, and 3rd Bn.
1st Bn - 3 Rifle Cos, and 1 Heavy Mortar Co.

Strength:
348th Regt, original strength, 2,400 to 2,500 men as of Oct 50.
