2. ASSESSMENT:
In good physical condition at time of interrogation. Cooperative and information considered fairly reliable. Recommended for further interrogation at higher headquarters.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
a. Chronology:
PW was employed as a railroad guard at SANSHI SHENG until inducted into CCF Dec 49. Was immediately assigned to 50th Army, 149th Div, 3rd Bn at SUCHWAN SHENG, SUHUN HSIEN and remained there until on or about 8 Jan 50. 447th Regt then moved to HOPEI SHENG, CHINSAN HSIEN, where they remained for 6 months performing normal duties. From this location 447th Inf Regt entrained for TUNGERI, RYONDUN SHENG, SHIAN CHIEN. Trip took approx 15 days. They remained at this new location for approx 1 month in preparation for entering KOREA. 447th Regt arrived ANTUNG 28 or 29 Oct 50 and remained there for 7 days. Crossed the YALU River 4 Nov 50 and arrived UIJU 8 Nov 50 via SINUIJU. At SINUIJU and ANTUNG no aircraft were observed. 447th Regt marched to SAKCHU during darkness and arrived 10 Nov 50. Then marched south to NAMKWAN DONG (phonetic) arriving 11 Nov 50 and to SHIN NAM-KWAN (phonetic) arriving 17 Nov 50. Regiment remained here for 2 or 3 days. Observed UN aircraft, but did not receive air attacks. Regiment arrived ONPUNG-DONG XE7664 then marched to NAMSU-MYON (location unknown) arriving 23 Nov 50. On 24 Nov regiment was located at SAMSONG-NI (location unknown) and on 25 Nov in vicinity where captured. PW stated his regiment retreated 260300 Nov and believes headed for SAMSONG-NI. No knowledge of other regiments. Flanks unknown.

50th Army: 149th Div; other divisions unknown. 149th Div: 447th Regt, others unknown. 447th Regt: 3 Inf Bns. Each Bn composed of 3 Inf Cos, 1 HMG Co, 1 Sig Plat, 1 Med Plat.

Strength & Weapons:
Inf Co: 120 - 130 men, mortars (no. & size unk), rifles. HMG Co: 110 men. 6 HMGs, rifles. Sig Plat: 10 - 12 men, equipment unk. Med Plat: 7 - 8 men.
Ammo: Issued ammo at TUNGERI, China. Amount unk. No re-issue known.
