2. ASSESSMENT:
PW was in good physical condition at time of interrogation. Was cooperative and information obtained considered fairly reliable. Recommended for further interrogation at higher headquarters.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
a. Chronology:
Joined Chinese Nationalist Army 7 Jun 49 and assigned to 108th Nationalist Army. PW held rank of Superior Private. On 7 Oct 49 entire 108th Army was captured by 50th CCF Army. 108th Army was integrated in 50th CCF Army. At present two thirds of 50th Army is composed of former Nationalist Army soldiers. 50th Army remained at CHAN DU until latter part of Oct, then departed for HOPEI via RYANSAN and WHAN SHIEN. At HOPEI 50th Army engaged in farming until May 50. 50th Army departed for SHOGANG, then to RYOROTUNG. 1 Sep 50 departed RYOROTUNG for ANTUNG and arrived 7 Oct 50. 148th Div of 50th Army crossed YALU River 7 Oct. Other Divs of 50th Army unknown. After crossing YALU River 148th Div arrived at HOSAN (phonetic) 1 Oct 50 via SINUIJU YE2039. On 18 Oct 50 at PYONGWAN (phonetic) regiments took different routes. On 22 Nov 50 PW became a straggler and was captured via CHONGJU.

b. PW’s Unit:
50th Army composed of 148th, 149th and 150th Divs. 148th Div composed of 442nd, 443rd, 444th regiments. 1 Arty Battery of 140 men attached to each regiment. 442nd Regiment composed of 3 Bns. Bn composed of 3 Inf Cos and 1 HMG Co.

Strength:
Infantry Co: 140 men (6 MGs, and the rest rifles). HMG Co: 9 HMGs. Bn: Approx 600 men. Arty Btry: 140 men. Ammo: 60 rds per rifle issued at HOPEI. No re-issue.

c. Communication: All communications by telephones.
