2. ASSESSMENT:
PW was cooperative and answered questions freely, but knowledge of military information was very limited.

3. MILITARY HISTORY:
26 Sep 44 - Enlisted in the CNAF, Special Brig.
Mar 45 - Deserted unit.
3 Mar 45 - Enlisted in the CNA 21st Corps.
26 May 49 - The 21st Corps, surrendered to the CCF forces at SHANGHAI. Received 3 mos training with the CCF forces.
Aug 49 - PW was assigned to the 26th CCF Army at SHANGHAI.
Aug 50 - The entire 26th CCF Army departed SHANGHAI for MANCHURIA via SANTONG (山東).
Mid Nov 50 - 26th Army arrived in ANTUNG, MANCHURIA. Size of units during movement was unknown.
Dec 50 - 76th Div marched to KOTORI at night.
5 Dec 50 - PW was captured while looking for a friend.

5. WEAPONS AND PERSONNEL:
The 26th Army was composed of the following divisions:
76th Div, 77th Div and 78th Div plus an Arty unit.
Each Div was deployed approx 3 miles interval. The 76th Div was situated in KOTORI Area, with the 78th Div on its right and the 77th Div on the left flank. An Inf Co was composed of approx 150 men. Each soldier had a "Chung Chung" type rifle and 120 rds of ammo plus 6 hand grenades. Co CO armed with a pistol, Plat Leader with PPSH SMG, and Sqd Leader with US carbines. An Inf Co composed of 3 Plats, plus a Mortar Sqd (60mm). Losses were high since entering KOREA, due to air attack, but PW could not estimate losses.

6. SUPPLIES:
Ammo was brought into combat zone by means of horses. No resupply was available. Food was obtained at local villages.

7. ENEMY INTENTIONS:
Intention of the Div was to cut off all supply routes to elements of the US troops further north, to advance to the air field in the south via the highway.

8. MORALE:
Morale was low throughout the Unit, because food supply was scarce and sickness from cold weather was high.

9. CAPTURED EQUIPMENT:
PW on several occasions observed UN tanks, but claims that the CCF forces showed no intention of using them.

10. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
PW stated that runners were employed between Co to Co; Bn to Bn. Field phones were used at higher Hqs. (TO Bn one field phone, Regt five)
Div Hqs utilized generator type radios.
