3. MILITARY HISTORY:31 Jul 50: Conscripted with approx 1,000 students at NAJIN (羅津). Received arms, basic trng and assigned to 6th Bn.
12 Aug 50: 6th Bn departed NAJIN by rail for SINP'O (新浦).
13 Aug 50: 6th Bn arrived SINP'O and unit attached to 507th Brig with Hqs at WONSAN (元山). Received advanced trng.
18 Oct 50: 6th Bn departed SINP'O on foot due to advance of ROK troops.
19 Oct 50: 6th Bn arrived PUKCHONG and committed. Unit dispersed.
24 Oct 50: 6th Bn reassembled at KAPSAN (甲山); strength: 300 men.
1 Dec 50: 300 men dug defensive positions at CHASO MYON (慈瑞面).
4 Dec 50: Unit heard that the enemy had withdrawn so 300 men headed S toward PUNGSAN (豊山)
7 Dec 50: 300 men arrived PUNGSAN and met 1st Bn, 507th Brig. Both Bns departed PUNGSAN for PUKCHONG. Strength of 1st Bn: approx 300 men,
9 Dec 50: Only 6th Bn arrived PUKCHONG; 1st Bn separated at point 8 km from PUKCHONG. PW's squad surrounded and captured.
