2. ASSESSMENT:
Prisoner was not fully cooperative during interrogation and limited information which seems fairly reliable was obtained only through intensive and repeated cross examination. He is not recommended for further interrogation.

3. TO/E, DISPOSITION:
38th Army consisted of the 112th, 113th, and 114th Divisions. The 112th Div which was heard to have a strength of approx 12,000 men, was composed of the 334th, 335th, and 336th Regiments. The 113th Div was composed of the 337th, 338th and 339th Regts. The 114th Div was composed of the 340th, 341st, and 342nd Regiments. Attached to the 112th Div were three mixed heavy mortar and mountain gun battalions of 600 men each, and one signal battalion of 600 men. The 334th Regt was composed of three infantry battalions of 800 men each, and a mixed 60mm Mortar and signal battalion of 800 men. This battalion was composed of three 82mm mortar company of 150 men each and a signal company of 100 men. Each infantry battalion was composed of three rifle company of 160 men each, a 82mm mortar company of 150 men, a signal platoon of 50 men, a 60mm mortar platoon of 50 men, a supply platoon of 60 men, a mixed squad of 15 mess and 5 medic personnel, and a HMG company of 150 men.
38th Army crossed the YALU River at MANP'OJIN o/a 3 Nov 50. It was stationed there until o/a 12 Oct 50 when it marched southward on the main road. O/a 13 Oct, at a point approx 8 Km south of MANP’OJIN, the 112th Div became separated from the reminder of the 38th Army. The 113th Div turned westward and the 114th turned eastward into mountain trails while the 112th Div continued southward along the main road. O/a 15 Nov 50, along the main road, the 112th Div engaged the enemy in which 100 troops of the Div were killed. O/a 16 Nov the Div passed through KOIN-DONG (BV-7887). On the following day, at a point approx 2 Km south of KOIN-DONG, it turned southwest into mountain trails. O/a 20 Nov, the Div engaged the enemy twice (Locations unknown). On 24 Nov, at approx 2300 hours it arrived at PAEGAE-SAN (BV-8325). The following day at 1700 hours, one of the regiments (designation unknown) proceeded eastward, while the other was observed proceeding in the opposite direction. 334th Regt proceeded southwest toward TOKCHON. At a point approx 20 Km ENE of TOKCHON at 0400 hours on 26 Nov 50, PW and another became separated from their unit duo to stomach ailment, and at 0800 hours of the some day. PW was captured by ROK MPs. The 334th Regt was last observed headed in a WSW direction towards TOKCHON. PW hoard from his regimental commander at PAEGAE-SAN that the mission of the 334th Regt was to set up road blocks on the main road leading from TOKCHON.
PW states that ammunition was transported to his unit by trucks when the 112th Div travelled on the main road up to KOIN-DONG. After the Div took to mountain trails· it was carried to the Div on the bocks of the men from on ammo supply dump located at KOIN-DONG. This supply dump area measured approx 200 meters square and was located approx 1.5 Km ESE of the railroad station at (BV-80.7 85.8) and approx 12 meters on the east side of a small trail running NW to SE between two hills.
Small arms, artillery, and mortar ammunition was observed here by the PW when he went to obtain mortar shells there o/a 20 Nov 50. He observed that the boxes measured 1½' x 1½' x 10" were laid on the ground. individually and covered with dry grass for camouflage. There was 8 to 10 inches of spices between the boxes which covered the whole area. Number of boxes in the area unknown.
