2. ASSESSMENT:
PW and another soldier lost contact with their unit while hauling clothing approx 15 days ago. PW was in good physical condition. PW below average intelligence. PW, being a Medical Corpsman, unable to reveal pertinent military information of value. Information obtained may be considered inaccurate. Dates and location very hazy. PW was engaged in forming prior to entering the service. Recommended for further interrogation.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
a. Chronology: PW was drafted into the Chinese Nationalist Army 12 Oct 42 at CHIESO. Served with the Nationalist Army until Mar 49. Highest rank held in the Nationalist Army was Private First Class. Captured by elements of CCF at HANKOW Mar 49. During his service with the Nationalist Army, fought against Japanese and CCF troops. Assigned to 40th Army, 118th Div, 353rd Regt, 3rd Bn, Independent Medical Co at HANKOW Mar 49. 40th Army departed HANKOW Mar 49 and arrived MAOPUNG. Stationed at MAOPUNG for approx 3 months and received field training. Departed MAOPUNG and arrived YUSHIEN. Stationed here for approx 1 month and engaged in normal duties. Departed YUSHIEN and arrived PEIHAI. Received ½ month rifle training. Departed PEIHAI and arrived at unknown location. Received amphibious training for approx 3 months at this location, 40th Army departed unknown location and arrived HAINAN Island. His unit fought against the Chinese Nationalist Army for approx 15 days. Route taken from HAINAN to ANTUNG unknown to PW. Arrived in ANTUNG by train approx 4 months ago. Engaged in field training prior to crossing into North KOREA for 2½ months. PW stated that his unit crossed the YALU River into North KOREA approx 25 days ago. Destination and locations unknown to PW after crossing.
b. PW’s Unit or Group: 40th Army composed of 3 divisions. Numerical designations of other divisions unknown to PW. The 118th Div composed of 3 regts. Strength of division and regts unknown. 120 men assigned to Independent Medical Company. 4 doctors, 40 aidmen and 76 litter bearers. Medical Co attached to each regt. No knowledge of weapons in his regt. Intentions of PW’s unit unknown.
c. Food & Ammo: PW believes that food is being hauled from MANCHURIA.
