2. ASSESSMENT:
PW was intelligent and very cooperative. No attempts were made in evading questions and answers were given without hesitation. Reliability of information, good.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
a. Chronology:
(1) Inducted 16 Aug 50 at SUNGORI (승오리)
(2) Took his basic training with the 19th Div, 1st Regt, 1st Bn, 82mm Gun Co, 1st Plat, 1st Sqd for 13 days.
(3) 16 Sep 50 was transferred to 46th Div, 3rd Regt, Independent 120mm Gun Co, Ammo Sqd at KANGSO (江西).
(4) Training from 1 Oct 50 to 15 Oct 50.
(5) 18 Oct 50 ordered to retreat.
(6) 19 Oct 50 deserted at ANJU.
(7) 20 Oct 50, PW and 2 other men surrendered.

b. Unit Organization & Strength:
The 120mm Co was composed of 54 men, divided into 3 platoons, and each plat consisted of 2 sqds with 6 men to each sqd. The messenger and sqd of 6 men including the ammo sqd of 12 men, received orders directly from the CO. The 120mm Co was attached to the 3rd Regt, 46th Div.

c. Equipment:
The 120mm Co had 2 × l20mm guns, 120 shells, 2 Russian rifles, and one (1) pistol.

d. Supplies:
(1) Rations
Their rations were supplied by the transportation and supply Co of the 3rd Regt, 46th Div.
Ration consisted of rice, meat, vegetables, cooking oil, and pork.
Food was rationed, 800 grams per day per man.
(2) (a) 120 shells of 120mm guns were buried at SOKCHONG about 40km N of P’YONGYANG o/a l8 Oct 50.
(b) About 4000 rds of rifle ammo in Co 18 Oct 50.
(c) Artillery:
2 × 120mm guns were buried at SOKCHONG o/a 18 Oct. 50.

5. GENERAL INFORMATION:
a. Personalities:
CHU, Ming Ki (주민기), Capt, 22, Company Commander, 5′ 6″, Approx 120 1bs, he had a springy walk. He is from HANGYONG DO (咸鏡道).
PAK, Hak Kun (박학근); 1st Lt, 24, ass’t Company Commander.
PAK, Hak Kun was an active communist who gave lectures on communism to the troops twice a week. He was wounded in action in the vicinity of U CHON PU (의정부) about a week after the war started. He still had bandages around the stomach and feet when he was reassigned to the 120mm Co o/a 27 Sep 50. He could be easily identified by an shrapnel wound in the left leg. Height 5′ 6″, build, heavy-set and powerful.
