PW was very cooperative, spoke Japanese very fluently. All information obtained directly from PW. Following information is fairly reliable.
3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:Chronology:
7 Oct 50: PW conscripted at P'YONGYANG but was not assigned to a unit nor did he receive training since at this time P'YONGYANG was filled with retreating soldiers and there was no organized unit to which he could be assigned.
18 Oct 50: PW and 30 other inductees were ordered to retreat to KANGGYE (江界) (BA 9737) and then were to go to KOSONG (高城) where they would receive training and be assigned. After leaving P'YONGYANG PW and the others met US Paratroops and hid in the mountains.
21 Oct 50: While PW was resting at CHUNCH'ON (順川) he was captured.
4. GENERAL INFORMATION:NK Industrial Ministry (See chart):
The Industrial Ministry controlled all industrial plants in NK. PW stated that after P'YONGYANG had fallen the Industrial Ministry evacuated to the vicinity of SUPUNG (水豊). No further information.
