2. ASSESSMENT:

Physical Condition: Slightly weak due to many days of walking and exposure.

3. MILITARY HISTORY:
30 Sep 50 - Reported to “Military Movement Section” (軍事動員部) at PYONGYANG for induction into NKA.
1 Oct 50 - Departed PYONGYANG with a group of approximately 30 men.
4 Oct 50 - Group of 30 men arrived at PAKCH’ON (博川) after marching for about 3 days. PW and 2 other men from this group were assigned to the 3rd Bn deployed in a farming village located approximately 3km N of PAKCH’ON. They were engaged in building temporary barracks for a new troops that were expected to be assigned to the 3rd Bn.
15 Oct 50 - 3rd Bn received orders to move to HUICH’ON (熙川) and the unit departed PAKCHION area in squads by foot.
18 Oct 50 - PW and another member of his squad deserted in the vicinity of T’AEP’YONG.
20 Oct 50 - PW met ROK troops at KUJANG-DONG and was told to return home.
30 Oct 50 - Captured by US troops at PUNGSAN (豊山) with many other NKA stragglers.

4. CODE NUMBERS:
3rd Bn code number was 384 Unit.

5. WEAPONS AND PERSONNEL:
1st squad to which PW was assigned consisted of 13 men and only 3 rifles. Each man with a rifle had a cartridge belt of ammunition.

6. SUMMARY:
As PW was billeted and moved about with the squad he was assigned to, his information was limited.
