MILITARY HISTORY:
10 Oct 50 - Inducted at HAMHUNG (咸興)
12 Oct 50 - Departed HAMHUNG on foot.
13 Oct 50 - Arrived CHONGJIN (長津) and guarded power plant.
28 Oct 50 - Deserted unit and was captured on 29 Oct 50.

WEAPONS & PERSONNEL:
a. Organization of 361st Unit: Unit was composed of 2 Bns of 5 Rifle Cos each. Each Co had approx 110 men.
b. Weapons: Only 1/3 of unit was equipped with Japanese, US, and Russian rifles w/100 rds of ammo. PW heard that the unit also had several mortars.

FOOD & CLOTHING SUPPLY:
a. Food: Soldiers obtained food by confiscation.
b. Clothing: Summer clothing sufficient for only 1/3 of the personnel was issued.

None

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
PW states that remnants of the 249th and 259th Units (defeated at WONSAN (元山) were reorganized into the 361st Unit on 20 Oct 50.
