PW was intelligent and cooperative. Reliability good.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
Chronology:
15 May 50: Inducted into the North Korean Navy at HUNGNAM. Awaited assignment in CH’ONGJIN.
30 Jun 50: Completed basic military training and political training. No naval training received.
1 Jul 50 to 31 Jul 50: Assigned to 546th Unit (NK Naval Hq), Torpedo Section, station in P’YONGYANG. Was responsible for all shipments to the Torpedo Section which was situated in WONSAN.
1 Aug 50 to 31 Aug 50: Stationed in CHINNAMP’O. Supervised unloading of sea mine shipment from RUSSIA.
1 Sep 50: Returned to P’YONGYANG. Ordered to SEOUL.
1 Sep 50 - 3 Sep 50: Remained in SEOUL awating orders.
4 Sep 50 - 10 Sep 50: Remained in INCH’ON to lay mines off the coast but due to the lack of detonators, was unable to do so.
15 Sep 50 - 16 Sep 50: Remained in P’YONGYANG looking for detonators.
16 Sep 50: Notified that UN forces had land at INCH’ON and ordered to proceed to MOKP’O and mine the entrance to MOKP’O and KUNSAN.
22 Sep 50 - 23 Sep 50: PW and two seamen laid 3 mines between the SIHA-DO (時下島) lighthouse and the promontory. The mines were laid due east SIHA-DO at 300 meters interval, across ss the narrow channel. The first mine was laid 500 meters east of SIHA-DO, the second mine 800 meters east, and the third mine 1100 meters east of SIHA-DO. ALso, two mines were laid due west of SIHA-DO at 300 meters intervals. The mines were laid in the center of the channel. The mines were the influence type, model unknown (See sketch D.)
25 Sep 50: 5 mines of the same type as laid in the SIHA-DO area were loaded on trains at MOKP’O - destination KUNSAN.
25 Sep 50 - 30 Sep 50: PW arrived HWANGDONG-Ni. Heard that UN forces had occupied KUNSAN so decided to surrender. The mines were left on freight cars at the railroad station and parts of the mines were hidden in the railroad warehouse and in the adjacent rice paddies.
30 Sep 50 - 7 Oct 50: PW hid in the mountains near KONGJU.
7 Oct 50: PW surrendered to US forces.
