ATIS INTERROGATION REPORT NO. 2110　28 October 1950

FIELD REPORT (ADVATIS FWD - 0162)　26 October 1950

PW was very cooperative and gave information freely. He appeared to be average in intelligence.

5 Aug 49 - PW was conscripted in TONGCHON (通川). Received training for eleven months with the TONGCHONGUN (通川郡) Training Center (one Co).

19 Jun 50 - Arrived at PYONGYANG where he received advanced training with an NCO training center (2 Co.)

12 Jul 50 - Commissioned as a Lt and assigned as a Bn calisthenics officer to the newly activated 351 Ind Sec Regt, 4th Bn,

13 Jul 50 - 351 Regt departed PYONGYANG and arrived at SEOUL to guard plants, factories, warehouses, etc.

19 Sep 50 - 4th Bn remained at SEOUL with 351 Regt Hq 1st, 2nd and 3rd Bns were located in the outskirts of SEOUL.

26 Sep 50 - 1st, 2nd and 3rd Bns were annihilated. Stragglers from these Bns and the intact 4th Bn, besides the Regt Hq, retreated to POCHON (布川) and rested two days.

29 Sep 50 - Left POCHON and arrived at KUMGONG (金谷).

1 Oct 50 - Retreated to vicinity of CHOREWON (鉄原).

8 Oct 50 - Advanced south to YONGPYONG (永平).

9 Oct 50 - Engaged in combat with ROK Forces. Unit was completely dispersed, except for Regt Hq, which escaped toward PYONGGANG.

351 Ind Security Regt - (approx) 4,000 men

Regt Hqs - 50 men, Ind Cavalry Co - 160 men and 50 riding horses, Ind Motorcycle Co - 160 men, Ind Transp Co - 160 men, Ind Guard (Interior) Plat - 40 men.

1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Bn - 800 men each

351 Ind Security Regt - 14 Trucks, 6 Jeeps (1/4 ton) and 15 Motorcycles w/sidecars.

This Regt did not possess any weapons other than rifles with which four out of every five soldiers were equipped.
