3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
Chronology:
3 Jul 50 - Conscripted at SUKCHON and assigned to the 19th Brig Hq as Ass’t Sig Officer and commissioned as Jr Lt.
18 Sep 50 - The 19th Brig was reorganized into the 19th Div.
1 Oct 50 - Arrived with the 19th Div at NAMCHONJON. The 1st Regt (38th Regt) was sent to ONJONG NI, 2nd Regt (37th Regt) to KAEJON and 3rd Regt (79th Regt) to SIBYON-NI the Arty Regt to MULGAE Ri while Hq was located at NAMCHONJOM.
The 3rd Inf Regts established defensive positions while the Arty Regt stayed in reserve.
10 Oct 50 - The 2nd Regt (37th Regt) surrendered and was either annihilated or captured by UN Forces at KAEJON.
16 Oct 50 - 19th Div retreated to SARIWON after losing all contact with Regt.

2 Russian made 2 way radio (LBN-1) (effective distance 20 km), 52 trucks, 8 - 122mm Arty (30 rounds each Arty), 24 - 85mm Arty (30 rounds per Arty), 9 - 76mm Arty (30 rounds per Arty), 24 -120mm Mortar (30 rounds per mortar), 45 - 45mm Anti-tank gun (30 rounds per gun), 27 - HMG, 36 - LMG, 500 sub-machine gun (140 rounds per gun), 76mm Rifle - 2/3 armed (100 rounds per rifle) as of 10 Oct 50.

Unit History:
18 Sep 50 - The 19th Div was organized at SUKCHON. It was formerly the 19th Brig.
10 Oct 50 - The 19th Div was sent to defend the KUMCHON area but believed it was either annihilated or captured o/a 6 Oct 50.
