Information was limited but fairly reliable, Informant was cooperative.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
Chronology:
25 Jul 50: Conscripted at CHONGJIN (淸津).
29 Jul 50: Arrived PYONGYANG. Attended Military School for 10 days.
10 Aug 50: Arrived SINUIJU (新義州) and received Inf Trng for about 2 weeks. Assigned to HMG Co, 2nd Bn 94th Ind Regt.
29 Aug 50: Departed SINUIJU for KUMCHON (金川)
14 Oct 50: PW & 3 others deserted and surrendered to ROKA.

Unit Organization & Strength:
Original Organization & Strength:
94th Ind Regt was composed of 9 Bns (approx 600 men each). There was an Arty Bn and an Engr unit which was attached directly to Regt.

Last known Composition of Unit:
About 3000 men remained; the rest had deserted.

Equipment:
1st, 2nd & 3rd Bns - 3 HMG’S.

Unit History:
The 94th Ind Regt was newly organized at SINUIJU about 10 Aug 50.

Morale & Propaganda:
Lack of weapons was the major cause for the low morale in the PW’s unit.
