2. ASSESSMENT:
PW was cooperative, but not observant. Information was limited due to his poor memory, but it is considered fairly reliable.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
Chronology:
19 Mar 47 - PW volunteered for the NKA at HUNGNAM (興南), assigned to the Guard Co, GHQ, NKA at P’YONGYANG, and received basic training for 3 months. There were approx 160 men in the Guard CO detailed to guard GHQ Building was a former Japanese Arsenal in P“YONGYANG.
? Oct 47 - Promoted to Cpl.
? Nov 47 - Became Co Clerk.
? Feb 48 - The Guard Co was enlarged to a Guard Bn. Promoted to Sr Sgt and transferred to the Arms Section, Guard Bn as a clerk.
? Oct 48 - Transferred to the Management Section, Rear Bureau, GHQ, as a clerk.
? Nov 48 - GHQ was renamed as the Ministry of Defense, and it moved to the former Japanese 44th Regt Barracks in P’YONGYANG.
19 Mar 49 - Transferred to the Motor Road Maintenance Bn (Code No 934), Ministry of Defense which was organized on 10 Mar 49. Commissioned Jr Lt (少尉) and put in charge of the Clothing Supply Section. The Motor Road Maintenance Bn was located at KAN-Ni (間里), approx 20 km N of P’YONGYANG.
O/a 13 Sep 49 - Moved to WONSAN (元山), SOHUNG (瑞興), CH’ORWON (銑原), CHOCH’IWON (鳥政院). Reaching TAEJON (大田), 12 Sep 50.
23 Sep 50 - Bn was disorganized at TAEJON. PW and 2 of his subordinates fled north through the mountains.
3 Oct 50 - PW and 2 subordinates were captured by the ROK troops at KUNJE, approx 25 m SW of CH’UNGJU (忠州).
