2. ASSESSMENT:
PW was intelligent and cooperative. PW was in Chinese Communist Army from 23 Jul 48 to 25 Jul 49.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
Chronology:
23 Jul 48: Entered Chinese Communist Army at HAERYONG (해룡) in NE KOREA where he received basic training.
1 Feb 49: 100 miles N of MUKDEN attached to 166th Div, 496th Regt of Chinese Army.
25 Jul 49: Entered N Korean Army, 6th Div, 13th Regt, Med Unit at SINUIJU where Chinese uniforms were changed for NKA uniforms.
23 Sep 50: Retreated to CHINAN where unit became disorganized.
2 Oct 50: Surrendered at OKCH'ON (沃川).

Equipment remaining when disorganized 6 horse carts, 6 horses, 6 men, a little rice and several rolls of cloth, 20 men with 40 horses followed them but soon scattered. On his retreat to OKCH'ON PW saw no NKA units.

Propaganda:
PW believed the surrender pamphlets.

4. GENERAL:
Training centers are located at SINUIJU, P'YONGYANG, SARIWON, CHAERYONG, HAMHUNG, NANAM and WONSAN. Navy training center near CHINAMP'O. Training center at SARIWON is immediately west of RR station. PW thinks 78th Regiment is a motorcycle regiment (hearsay).
