HMG Company was distributed among 7th, 8th, and 9th Co’s. Ammunition dump was located at the foot of a mountain located 4 km SE of the nearest village (MYON) called MUNCHON MYON. Weapons were stored at the same location as the ammo. There is a zinc factory 2 km SW of the ammo dump. PW saw this factory from the mountain. About 1 km W of the ammo dump, the employees of the zinc factory resided. See sketch #1.
In the early part of Aug PW often saw USAF fighters attacking

4. GENERAL:
MUNCHON Harbor:
There is a single track railroad line leading from the MUNCHON RR Station to the harbor. PW saw about 100 NK sailors working in the vicinity of the harbor. This is a natural harbor and contains no special facilities. There is one stone built dock. There are numerous houses in the vicinity of the harbor which PW believes to be navy sleeping quarters, mess halls, etc. One large house is constructed of concrete and has a gable type slate roof. The rest are all wooden houses with gable type slate roofs. There is a railroad tunnel about 300 m southwest of the harbor. Oil drums about 8 m high and 1½ m diameter were stored in this tunnel. PW saw these oil drums when he took cover in the tunnel when US planes came to attack. States that this tunnel was filled with oil drums. NK sailors took cover in this tunnel whenever US planes flew overhead.
PW states about 20 sailors were killed by strafing US planes on 17 Sep 50.
