Cooperative. Information seems reliable. Shot his foot with own pistol in order to get away from the front.

16 Armor Brig (code 101 unit) composed of 2 x armor Bns and 2 x Inf Bns.

1st Inf Bn composed of 3 x Inf Co's, HMG Co and Mortar Co.

Each Inf Co composed of 4 x Inf platoons.

Inf Bn strength (original) approx 400

Armored Battalions strength approx 200

PW heard from one of tank Bn personnel that only 5 x T-34/85 medium tanks were under operation in vicinity of KUMSAN as of 2 Sep 50.

No further information on 16 Armor Brigade since PW was an intendance officer.

16th Armor Brig Hq was located in vicinity of KUMSAN.

1st Inf Bn, 16th Armor Div was located in vicinity South of KlMSAN.

1st Inf Bn was attached to 1st Tank Bn, 16th Armor Brig. The primary purpose of the 1st Inf Bn was to protect tanks as they advance.

All walking patients were told to assemble at CHOCHIWON o/a 2 Sep 50.

Before leaving his 1st Inf Bn, PW did not engage in battle.

Inducted 17 April 50.

Received no training.

Assigned to 1st Inf Bn, 16th Armor Brigade at PYONGYANG on 6 Jul 50.

Commissioned as Capt on 6 Jul 50 since 16th Armor Brig was newly organized.

Arrived KUMSAN 20 Sep 50.
