PW was cooperative; however, information was limited.

Tank Brigade composed of two (2) tank Bns, each Bn composed of four (4) tank companies.

LOCATION & ACTIVITIES OF UNITS: (as of 22 Sep 50).
PW heard that the 17th Tank Div would retreat to MUNGYONG and make a stand there.

PERSONAL & UNIT HISTORY:
Inducted 8 July 50 at PYONGYANG.
Received SMG basic training for over a month.
Traveling to YECHON from PYONGYANG, arriving 24 Sep 50.

PERSONALITIES:

REPLACEMENTS:
PW did not see any replacements in the 17th Tank Division.

FOOD & AMMO SUPPLIES:
PW stated that enough food (rice & dried fish) were brought along with them by train and truck to feed a brigade for a short period. However, when they started to retreat from UISONG, food was lost due to disorganization.
Ammo was first & last received at PYONGYANG.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
PW stated that while going to UISONG & retreating from UISONG, he saw more than 20 damaged tanks. The tanks’ condition was good except for the wheels, which were burnt.
On 24 Sep 50, PW heard rumors that the UN force were coming from the north, east, west, and south and for that reason the North Koreans were retreating.
