2. ASSESSMENT:
PW seemed intelligent. he was cooperative and talked freely.
Physical condition - Fair
length of service - 1 month

3. MILITARY HISTORY:
2 Aug 50 Inducted at HWANGJU (廣州) and attached to the 110th Security Regt, 1st Bn, 2nd Co, 3rd Plt. Received one month of basic training.
1 Sep 50 110th and 109th Regts departed HWANGJU by marching.
10 Sep 50 Arrived at SEOUL.
11 Sep 50 Departed SEOUL by marching and arrived YONGDONGPO (永登浦) on the same day.
11 Sep 50 imparted ONGDONGPO by train at night.
15 Sep 50 110th Regt arrived at HWANGGAN (黃澗). 109th Regt remains a at TAEJON (大田).
16 Sep 50 110th Regt departed HWANGGAN by marching and headed towards KOCHANG (居昌).
PW deserted from the 110th Regt as soon as the unit started marching to KOCHANG and gave himself up at SUWON (水原).

4. ORGANIZATION:
The 110th Security Regt was composed of four (4) bns. Each bn was composed of four (4) companies.
The strength of the 110th Security Regt was estimated to be about 1,000 men.

5. WEAPONS:
The 110th Security Regt was not equipped. Troops were told that weapons would be issued when unit arrived at KOCHAKG.

6. MORALE:
Morale of this 110th Security Regt was extremely low. Troops in this regt were 18 to 20 years old and were inductees. They worried more about escaping than fighting.
They were fed two meals a day consisting of one rice ball per meal. Occasionally meals consisted of wheat, rice and vegetable soup.

7. U.S. PRISONERS:
On 27 Jul 50, PW observed U.S. prisoners on a train which was stopped at HOERYONG (會寧,) near the Manchurian border.
Total number of prisoners was unknown. Three to five prisoners were looking out from the train window. However, observation was made from such a distance that detailed information is lacking.
