2. ASSESSMENT:
Cooperative but not too intelligent. Spoke freely.

3. MILITARY HISTORY:
16 Sep 50 Conscripted as NKA civilian labor at PYONGYANG (平壤) and departed by truck at night.
18 Sep 50 Arrived SEOUL and attached to 345th Unit as truck driver until captured by SK Police on 26 Sep 50.

4. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
PYONGYANG: Approx 16 Km SW of the city; near TEBOSAN MT (太宝山), PW observed many gun emplacements and trenches dug on the high hills. The area around the mountain was placed off-limits to all civilians. The mountain is covered with dense pine, and source believes that it may be difficult to be seen from the air.
OPA: o/a 20 Aug 50, source was engaged in hauling food supplies for the NKPA from PYONGYANG to OPA (五波) RR Station (located approx 50 Km NNW of PYONGYANG. There he observed many train loads of AA ammo and other smaller shells being unloaded into a tunnel which was located 2 Km NNW of the OPA RR Station. This tunnel was about 1 Km in length, 5M in height and 4M in width and was constructed of concrete,
WONSAN: Subject stated that the pier along the harbor was undamaged by bombs. He heard that the NKNP was stationed 16 Km ESE of the harbor. They were utilizing a small island as their base.
CHINNAMPO: The harbor was located 2 Km SSW of the RR Station. On 5 Sep 50, he observed that 80 per cent of the harbor facilities had been damaged by UN bombings. Ten (10) military barracks located approx 2 Km NE of the RR Station and 1.5 Km NW of the glass factory were also observed.
CONDITION OF ROADS & RR:
The main highway from PYONGYANG (平壤) to CHINNAMPO (鎭南浦) is a dirt surfaced road about 5M wide. There are five (5) concrete bridges between above towns, all of which were undamaged by bombs. The roads in CHINNAMPO are asphalted and in good condition.
The road between PYONGYANG and WONSAN was surfaced with gravel and was about 4M wide. As of 10 Sep 50, there were about three (3) large RR bridges between PYONGYANG and WONSAN damaged to the extent of 30 per cent. Condition of gravel road was fairly good.
