LOCATION AND ACTIVITIES OF UNITS:
The 1st Battalion was located on a hill near KUMCHON until 24 Sep 50. They withdraw to another unknown position after this date.
The 2nd Battalion was situated on a hill near the 1st Battalion, but had withdrawn on 24 Sep 50 with the 1st Battalion.
The 9th Division, 1st Regiment, also withdrew to an unknown position.

PERSONAL & UNIT HISTORY:
Conscripted 20 Jul 47 in CHINNAMPO.
Assigned to the Medical Platoon, 1st Regiment, Unknown Division on 22 Jul 50. Received irregular infantry training. Remained here until Sep 48. Sent to CHUKOJIN (MANCHURIA - KOREA Border) Sep 48 to the Border (Line of Communication) guard headquarters. Remained here until Jun 49.

FOOD AND AMMO SUPPLIES:
Food arrived at irregular intervals due to lack of transportation. Troops ate 2 or 3 times daily, each meal usually consisting of one rice ball.

MORALE:
Morale low due to fighting a losing battle.

US PW’S:
Approximately 40 US PW's were seen heading towards SEOUL on 26 Aug 50. (Exact location unknown).
