FIELD REPORT (163 - MISDI - 0108)　22 September 1950

PW attended middle school for adults for two years until March 1947.

PW surrendered at SONGSAN-NI

PW volunteered for the Army on 8 Feb 48 and entered the Public Peace Preservation Management Staff School to study government, Communist ideas and basic training. Also trained in Military Strategy. PW entered service on 22 July 1950 with the rank of 2nd Lt and was transferred to WHANGAE DO, SARIWON and was attached to a replacement Regiment. PW was in the present 2nd Co, 2nd Bn, 78th Regiment until captured. This Regiment left SARIWON on 16 Sep with destination unknown until they arrived at SEOUL on 18 Sep 50, less one Battalion.

When the PW went to SONGSAN-NI, two companies from his Battalion were already there and only his Battalion was sent there.
