2. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
a. Chronology:
Entered army 18 Jan 50. Went to PYONGYANG for training on 76mm cannon. After completion of training PW came to SEOUL on 10 Sep 50 and stayed in KEIJO for four (4) days. After this he went to O RYU DONG. PW’s Regiment was activated in this area.

b. Unit Organization and Strength:
(1) Original organization and strength of 1st Regiment was three thousand (3000) men.
(2) Actual battle organization and strength - unknown.
(3) 1st Regiment dispersed in O RYU DONG. Strength unknown.

c. Equipment:
Tanks (32 ton) number unknown. PW saw fourteen (14) tanks of this size: Seven (7) in SEOUL. Seven (7) in O RYU DONG. No artillery was observed. Unknown number of M1891, 30 cal rifles. Unknown number of PPSH-sub machine guns.

d. Unit History:
18th Division was organized around 20 Aug to 1 Sep 50. After being organized it came down to SEOUL. The strength of the 18th Division was unknown. This Division was composed of one (1) or two (2) infantry regiments and two (2) heavy weapons regiments. The 1st and 2nd Regiments were the heavy weapons regiments. The 1st Regiment was also known as the 42nd Unit. The 2nd was called the 47th Unit. This was known to only the high ranking officers. This 1st and 2nd Regiment had tanks and artillery. Amount unknown.

e. Disposition:
All units were scattered to O RYU DONG area.

f. Intentions:
1st and 2nd Regiments were to push the United Nations Forces back toward INCHON starting from O RYU DONG.
