Cooperative, but has a poor memory. Not recommended for further interrogation.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
Chronology:
10 May 47: Inducted ANTU (案圖), MANCHURIA in the Chinese Peoples Liberation Army 156th Div (Korean only).
Apr 50: Departed ANTU, MANCHURIA, 156th Div (10,000 men) by rail arrived MUNP'YONG-NI (1030-1840) Apr 50 and the 156th Div became the 7th Div. All 156th Div personnel were trained in MANCHURIA by Chinese officers. No equipment was brought to MUNP'YONG by the 156th Div. All equipment was issued in MUNP'YONG (Ordered to leave the Chinese Peoples Liberation Army by a Chinese General, name unknown).
21 Jun 50: 2nd Regt, 7th Div of 28 officers and 600 men departed MUNP'YONG by marching. Regt had 6 x 45mm AT guns, 8 x 60mm mortars, 6 x 82mm mortars, 4 x ZIS-151 2 1/2 top trucks, 36 x Maxim HMGs M1910, 5 x field phones UNA F-31 and 12 x horses. Arrived CH’UNGJU (忠州) ? Jul 50. Engaged ROK troops for 24 hours. No heavy weapons lost and 20 men killed.
Jul 50: 2nd Regt departed CH’UNGJU, marched and arrived ANDONG (安東) Jul 50. Engaged ROK troops for 3 hrs then moved towards KIGYE (杞溪). Losses of men and equipment were light. Losses at KIGYE during battle with ROK troops were 200 men killed or wounded by aircraft and artillery action.
D/U Aug 50: 2nd Regt departed KIGYE and marched to ANGANG-NI (安康里) arrived D/U Aug 50 and engaged ROK troops for 4 days and retreated back to KIGYE. Engaged in battle at KIGYE and advanced to ANGANG-NI Aug 50, advanced against YAIL-U 16 Sep 50. PW’s plt was surrounded by ROK troops. PW and two (2) others surrendered and the other nine (9) men were killed.


Dispositions:
Ammunition dump was located in YAIL-LI. ROK troops captured all ammunitions.

Intentions:
PW did not observe or hear of any replacements for the 7th Div.

Morale and Propaganda:
Morale of the men in the 7th Div was very high when they departed from MUNP'YONG because they were sent off by town people at the train station and they were happy because they were to liberate South Korea. As conditions grew worse, morale dropped accordingly. Aircraft was the most feared weapon. Next came artillery and mortars. No leaflets were seen.
