The Regt losses amounted to approx 400 killed or wounded in action. At 2200 hrs, PW deserted.

Morale:
The morale of the troops was very low because of the daily decrease in the unit strength. The troops were told that PUSAN and TAEGU were occupied by the NKPA but the troops had no faith in such propaganda. The reason for this was that the infantry officers did not hide the fact from the troops and usually made disparaging remarks about the lectures given by the cultural officers. On some occasions, the troops were told by the cultural officers that in event the NKPA could not defeat the UN Forces, active assistance would be given them by the CCF.
