14 Sep 50: At about 0600 hours, the 2nd Regt attacked American positions on a ridge 2 km South of TAESAN MYON. The attack was made without artillery support and consequently, no gains were made. The Regt suffered a loss of about 600 men, most of whom were killed by heavy enemy artillery fire. The Regt withdrew to its original position at about 1700 hours and dug in.
15 Sep 50: At about 1000 hours, the Regt underwent an air attack which lasted until 1200 hours. The intensity of the attack disorganized the entire Regt. Subject sought shelter in a nearby village and was captured by American soldiers. When the Regt became disorganized, there were only about 300 men who were capable of fighting. However, the majority of them were demoralized to the extent that no effort in their part would amount to much.

Morale:
The morale of the troops has been greatly lowered by the constant loss in men and equipment. The unit has not received any replacements of map or equipment and the men believed that they were being forced to fight against the enemy until the last man became a casualty. Heavy artillery fire and constant air attacks were the major factors causing low morale.
