PERSONAL AND UNIT HISTORY:Inducted on 15 Aug 50 at PYONGCHANG into replacement Bn which was composed of 800 men. PW and 800 men departed PYONGCHANG on 15 Aug - marched to WONJU (TKU) 19 Aug where PW and 800 men received 5 days basic training with wooden rifles.
Departed WONJU on 20 Aug, arrived CHECHON 20 Aug.
Departed CHECHON 21 Aug - marched - arrived TANYANG on 23 Aug.
Departed TANYANG 24 Aug - marched - arrived ANDONG on 25 Aug.
Departed ANDONG 26 Aug - marched - arrived UISONG on 27 Aug.
Departed UISONG on 28 Aug - marched - arrived at 7 Km N of YONCHON (TKU) d/u Aug. There, PW and 800 men were issued M1891/30 rifles, 280 rounds, 1 grenade and assigned to various units in 15th Div.
PW and his company marched through YONGCHON and arrived at a hill about 1½ Km SW of YONGCHON on 9 Sep. PW was captured by unknown ROK unit, when he went down to a house for drinking water.
