Training:
Training was taken from 16 April to 26 Hay 1950 at MUNCHON. On 10 June 1950, the unit went to the firing range and fired 3 rounds of ammunition.

Capability of Unit:
1. Efficiency: Efficiency was not tip to standard due to lack of food, training and equipment.
2. Morale: Low, since most of the men were conscripted against their will and were afraid to engage in battle with the South Koreans who had better equipment.
3. Fatigue: Excessive, the troops were marched at night and very little rest was received during the day.

Mission:
The mission for the Division was to capture POHANG DONG and TAEGU.

Foreign Elements:
Russian Advisors: On or about 10 June 1950 PW heard that a Russian advisor was attached to the Regiment. on 18 June PW observed a Russian advisor, rank Colonel, personal history unknown, at MUNCHON. He was accompanied by the Regimental commander. His means of transportation was a Russian GAZ-67 jeep with a red star on each side and on the front bumper.

Weapon Most Feared by the North Koreans:
The weapon most feared by North Korean troops was artillery. PW stated that about 99% of the casualties were caused by artillery fire.
