PW was illiterate. Joined the 1st Div 25 Aug 50, therefore information limited.

Military History:
Inducted 28 Jul 50 at HWASAN-NI. Received no training.
Departed HWASAN-NI - 29 Jul 50 - by rail - arrived SARIWON - 29 Jul 50, conscripts age between 35-38 left HWASAN-NI. Heard that 1,000 conscripts age between 18-25 left 3 days earlier.
Departed SARIWON - 29 Jul. 50 - by rail - arrivod SINMAK (新幕) 30 Jul 50.
Departed SINMAK - 30 Jul 50 - by rail - arrived SUSAEK (水色) 1 Aug 50.
Departed SUSAEK - 1 Aug 50 - marched - arrived SEOUL - 1 Aug 50. Met the 1,000 conscripts which left HWASAN-NI 3 days before them.
Departed SEOUL - 2 Aug 50 - marched - arrived YONGDUNGP’O (永登浦) 2 Aug 50. 500 conscripts (ago 35-3S) arrived here.
Departed YONGDUNGP’O - 3 Aug 50 - rail - arrived YOJU (驪州) 4 Aug 50. 500 conscripts arrived here.
Departed YOJU - 4 Aug 50 - marched - arrived WONJU (原州) 5 Aug 50.
Departed WONJU - 6 Aug 50 - marched - arrived - 8 km N of T’ANYANG (丹陽) to a railroad tunnel - 8 Aug 50.
PW passed through CHECH'ON on the way. PW saw approx 50 soldiers of which 35 were high ranking officers (ranks unknown) and 3 or 4 trucks. An officer told the 500 men that the units in T'ANYANG were already filled with a grant number of Koreans from MANCHURIA, so they returned to CHECH'ON. Before returning however, no officer told them not to say that former CCF troops were in T’ANYANG but only “volunteer” Units.
Departed T’ANYANG - 9 Aug 50 - marched - arrived CH’UNGJU (忠州) 11 Aug 50.
Departed CH'UNGJU - 12 Aug 50 - marched - arrived MUN’GYONG (聞慶) 13 Aug 50.
Departed MUN’GYONG - 13 Aug 50 - marched - arrived HAMCH’ANG (咸昌) 13 Aug 50.
Departed HAMCH’ANG - 14 Aug 50 - marched - arrived SANGJU (尙州) 15 Aug 50.
PW crossed NAKTONG River (location unknown) during the night 19 Aug 50. Saw 6 trucks loaded with boxes, content unknown, also crossing the river.
The 500 conscripts arrived TONGHWA Temple 25 Aug 50. Met 50 soldiers including 10 Jr Lts and 4 Sr Lta. PW found out that he was in the 1st Div, 1st Regt, 2nd Bn. Received rifle.
25 Aug 50, while retreating N for safety reasons, they were bombed by aircraft, 200 were killed.
26 Aug 50, five wounded soldiers went to sleep in a farm house. The following morning 27 0800 Aug 50, PW and a follow soldier were captured by the 1st Div, 10 Regt ROK troops. Whereabout of the other 3 men, unknown.

Weapons and Personnel:
2nd Bn - approx 550 men, At present - 30 men. Believed that the wounded will be captured in the near future because they could not move, no place to retreat and no medical aidemen,
Riflemen - M1891/30 rifle, 50 rounds.
4 DP LMGs in battalion.
Ne other weapons soon in battalion,

Supplies:
Received one meal per day,

Enemy Intentions:
Regimental Objective - T'AEGU.
