Evaluation:
PW was cooperative, however due to his short period of military service he possessed limited information.

Military History:
Inducted 10 Jul 50 at HAEJU (海州). Received 15 days basic signal training at HAEJU.
Departed HAEJU - 28 Jul 50 - by rail - arrived SEOUL - 1 Aug 50 600 recruits. PW realized for the first time that he was in the 77th Regt, 6th Div.
Departed SEOUL - 1 Aug 50 - marched at night - arrived SUWON 5 Aug 50.
Departed SUWON - 6 Aug 50 - marched at night - arrived T’AEJON 10 Aug 50.
Departed T’AEJON - 11 Aug 50 - marched at night - arrived CHINJU (晉州) 13 Aug 50. Places between T’AEJON and CHINJU, unknown.
Departed CHINJU 14 Aug 50 - marched at night - arrived KOSONG - 15 Aug 50.
Departed KOSONG 16 Aug 50 - marched at night - arrived TONGYONG - 17 Aug 50. 500 men were left at CHINJU. 200 proceeded to T’ONGYONG.
18 Aug 50 (1200K) PW was captured by the ROK Marines on a mountain outside of T’ONGYONG while trying to relay a message for help to the HMG Co.

Weapons and Personnel:
Signal Platoon - 16 men. 2 squad in platoon, 8 men per squad. 3 UNA 1-31 Field Telephone in a platoon. All men carried M1938 Carbine, 50 rounds. Officers, M1895 Nagant Revolver.
The only thing PW knows about his 7th Div is that there was one Regt, the 77th Regt with 3 battalions; 3 rifle companies each and one HMG Co. No other information.

Vehicles:
Saw 15 new GAZ-51 trucks carrying men of the 77th Regt on 14 Aug 50 at CHINJU.

Supplies:
Received two meals a day. No ammunition came from the roar. PW received 50 rounds of ammunition at HAEJU. No resupply after initial issue.

Enemy Intentions:
Mission was to hold T’ONGTYONG.
