Departed JOHUR Sep 48 - marched and fought CNA arriving with 10th Column at PEICHIN (北鎭), NE CHINA Sep 48.
Departed PEICHIN Nov 48 - pursued CNA - arrived at T’ANGKU (唐洁), CHINA - Dec 48 (10th Column became 47th Army Nov 48).

PW stated that at the same time thousands of other Koreans who had been in other divisions of CCF were on their way to KOREA. However, PW does not known details about them.
PW remained at P’YONGYANG - 1 month - with about 250 of the 5,000 Koreans. (The remainder of the 5,000 proceeded by rail to WONSAN). PW studied at P’YONGYANG learning Communist Principles.
Departed P’YONGYANG about 5 Jun 50 - with 13 former CCF men who had been classmates with PW at P’YONGYANG during May 50 - by rail arrived WONSAN - about 6 Jun 50.
Transferred from 47th Army (CCF), 140th Div, ‘Peoples Liberation Army’ to NKPA 7th Div, 1st Regt, 2nd Bn - 6 Jun 50 - at WONSAN. PW stated that entire 7th Div was made up of Koreans formerly in various divisions of CCF.

By 19 Aug 50, PW’s units (2nd Bn, 1st Regt) was out off from other NKPA Units. 2nd Bn was surrounded by ROK troops. 2nd Bn annihilated. PW captured with 3other officers.

1st Regt CO: CH’AE HYOK (蔡赫) (채혁) Col; Age 40 approx. Formerly with the CCF. (Position then unknown).
2nd Bn CO: OM, UNG KOL (嚴雄傑) (엄웅걸) Maj; Age 35, formerly Co CO in CCF. Wounded in Action 16 Aug 50 about 4 miles W of KIGYE.

Foreign Elements:
One Soviet officer (rank and name unknown) was advisor to 1st Regt until it crossed 38° parallel 25 Jun 50. No other foreign elements.

Riflemen armed with Jap Type 99 Rifles (captured from Chinese Nationalists), 100 rounds, 2 grenades. Squad leaders armed with US Submachine guns (captured from Chinese Nationalists). Officers armed with pistols.
One automatic Weapons Co in battalion - 50 men, 6 x Jap HMGs, 4 x US 60-mm Mortars in 2nd Bn
6 x Jap 82-mm Mortars in 1st Regt.
Casualties: 2nd Bn, 1st Regt: 400 men (19 Aug 50).
Replacements: For 2nd Bn, 24 Jul 50 at YONGJU (1150-1550). No replacement of weapons or equipment other than that captured by 1st Regt. (19 Aug 50).

Observed 3 x 75-mm Guns and 3 x 120-mm Artillery pieces at YONGJU (24 Jul 50). Observed 3 x 75-mm truck-drawn guns and 10 x 45-mm AT Guns about 6 miles SE of KIGYE, 16 Aug 50.

Vehicles:
Observed about 13-14 trucks hauling 75-mm shells and 45-mm shells about 6 miles SE of KIGYE, 16 Aug 50.

Supplies:
7th Div supply dump located in YONGJU o/a 2 Aug 50.

Enemy Intentions:
Objective of 7th Div was T’AEGU, 2 Aug 50, but changed to P’OHANG-DONG, 16 Aug 50.
No gas equipment or gas training received.

Additional Information:
Observed band of 100 guerrillas 4 miles SW of KIGYE, 15 Aug 50.
Saw pamphlets dropped form aircraft near ANDONG, 1 Aug 50, but did not get close enough to read them.
