On 15 1600K Aug 50 PW’s unit (4th Co) was attacked by ROK troops. After fighting for 3 hours, PW fled to an unknown village at about 2100 hours. Arriving at the village. PW was farmers clothes in the village. The following day he surrendered himself to ROK troops passing through the village.
PW deserted because (he states) he did not believed in fighting.

Ammunition last received at ANDONG on 3 Aug 50 (100 rounds per man).
