Evaluation:
PW was fairly cooperative and of average intelligence.

Military History:
Inducted 15 Apr 50 at NAJIN (羅津). Trained as rifleman 2½ months at NAJIN. Only 25th Regt trained at NAJIN. 15th Div Hqs in HOERYONG.
Departed NAJIN - 22 Jun - train - arrived CH’ORWON - 26 Jun 50
Departed CH’ORWON - 26 Jun 50 - street car - arrived KUMHWA - 2400 26 Jun
Departed KUMHWA (金花) - 28 Jun - foot - arrived - YOJU - 3 Jul
Departed YOJU (驪州) - 5 Jul - foot -(first battle hers) - Passed through UMSONG (陰城), KOESAN, and arrived at KUMCH’ON on about 8 Aug 50. Departed KUMCH’ON same date, crossed NAKTONG River on 10 Aug 50. Heard another regiment of 15th Div crossed the NAKTONG River in the preceding day. The 25th Regt crossed the NAKTONG River without enemy opposition. The troops crossed the river by wading cross, the PW stated. The 20 trucks, 5 tanks, and 30 artillery pieces were already across when the PW crossed the river.
On 17 Aug 50, PW separated from the 9th Co when he fell asleep during the night and found himself all alone in the mountain. Next morning he tried to find his company when he was discovered by ROK troops and surrendered.
At time of capture PW was armed with M1891/30 rifle, 50 rounds, and 2 grenades.
PW stated that before he was captured the 25th and the 22nd Regt of the 15th Div occupied YUHAK Mountain (1148-1664).
PW stated the strength of the 25th Regt was about half its original strength. (hearsay).

PW estimated there are 300 CCF trained Koreans in the 25th Regt.

Weapons and Personnel:
Div - unknown; Regt - 2,000 men; Bn - 700 men; Co - 160 men Platoon - 48 men; Squad - 10-12 men.
PW stated that day before he was captured his 9th Co had 50 men and other companies in the 3rd Bn had less then the 9th Co.
Rifleman armed with M1891/30 rifle or M1938 carbine, 150 rounds, 2 grenades. Asst squad leader with DP LMG with about 420 rounds, 2 grenades. Officers with pistols.
2 x Maxim HMG to a platoon. 1500 rounds for each MG.
1 x 82-mm Mortar in a battalion. Number of rounds unknown.
2 x 14.5-mm PTRS-41 AT Rifle to a company. Number of rounds unknown.
No replacements of troops or weapons were observed or heard of by PW up to his capture.

Armor:
PW observed 5 x T-34/85 tanks on/about 15 Aug 50, during the night at the foot of the YUHAK Mountain travelling toward the read loading toward T’AEGU. No camouflage observed on tanks.

Artillery:
On 13 Aug 50, PW observed 2 x 122-mm M1910/30 Howitzers, about 12-x 76-mm M1943 Howitzers, and 4 x - 76-mm M1942 AT Guns on the road at foot of the YUHAK Mountain in the apple orchard.
PW observed about 200 men in the area of the artillery pieces PW does not known to what unit these 200 men and the artillery were attached.
PW stated there were also 20 trucks, GAZ-63, without tarpauline and 5 US jeeps parked by the road in the apple orchard. The trucks were loaded with artillery ammunition. PW observed these when he came to pick apples when he was hungry.

Supplies:
PW stated after crossing the NAKTONG River were served once a day at the meat. Sometimes food did not come for 3 days. Most of the time they ate fruits.
PW stated no weapons or ammunition were received after crossing the NAKTONG River.

Enemy Intentions:
Objective of the 15th Div was T’AEGU. No other information.
