Capabilities of Unit:
Morale: Since the troops have not been issued any shoes since leaving N. KOREA, a large number of the troops have developed sore feet. The shortage of food sometimes caused the troops to go without rations for three days. These factors combined with the incessant artillery and air attacks lave lowered the morale to the extent that there has been a considerable number of desertions within the past two weeks by all ranks.
Organization of 15th Div: the 15th DIv was organized of the 7th, 8th and 9th Training Regt’s. The 7th training Unit was located in RAJIN and the 8th and 9th Units were in HAERYONG. Since subject entered the 7th Trng Unit in RAJIN on 6 Mar 50, the unit was known as the 7th Trng Regt of the 15th Div. While enroute to KUMHWA, subject heard that the 7th Trng Regt was also known as the 45th Regt. Nothing has been heard as to the redesignation of the 8th and 9th Trng Regts.
