Cooperative but information limited due to lack of military service.
Military History:PW was forced into the guerrilla force at YONGHAE(寧海) (1230-1520) on 20 Jul 50. Trained for 13 days at YONGHAE (20 Jul to 2 Aug 50) with wooden gun.
Departed YONGHAE 4 Aug 50 - marched - arrived (place unk) 60 km SW of YONGHAE (POHYON Mountains Area) - on 9 Aug 50.
After being in the POHYONG Mts for 5 dyas, PW was captured by ROK troops.
PW and 5 others were assigned to th POHYONG Mts to wait for a message from TAEGU Guerrilla Force and to replay the message to the YONGHAE Guerrilla District Hqs, however no message was received.
The YONGHAE Guerrilla District had approximately 150 troops, 13 of them females. PW states that guerrillas in YONGHAE District was organized about 5 years ago. Majority of the 150 had over 3 yrs of experience as guerrillas.
The disposition of the other guerrillas were unk to PW, but about 30 were assigned to the YONGHAE Hqs. Hqs was located 1 km NW of city limits. Other information lacking.
Only 70 of the 150 guerrillas were armed with US M1, Japnaese 99 and 38 Model rifles, each man with rifle was supplied with 15-20 rounds. Age of the guerrillas ranged from 17 years to 45 years.
