1st Bn guarded beach area near YONGHAE against amphibious landing 20 Jul 50 to 6 Aug 50. 1st Bn attacked by SK forces 8 Aug 50 as unit was leaving YONGDOK. Informant wounded and captured 081000 K Aug 50 near YONGDOK.
T/O of PW’s Unit:5th Div composed of the 10th, 11th, and 12th Rifle Regts and an artillery regt. Rifle regt composed of three (3) rifle bns (each approx 700 men) and a 76 mm gun co. (details unk)
